Its day 2! ...the end of day 2 and I'm feeling awesome.
I think today has been even easier than yesterday was. I knew what to expect today and my stomach was more used to just liquids-it hasn't been as grumbley.
But, this morning was pretty rough.
I woke up with a massive headache-and a zit.
I don't know which was worse.
This meant that I was detoxing--All the junk was working its way out of my body, and my body was letting me know. So, I chugged a ton of water, got some Glow [the morning Suja Juice] into me and my headache was gone in an hour.
What I wasn't aware of going into this is--you can eat! I didn't feel the need to eat anything yesterday, so I didn't. If you can hack it, you should stick to just the juices, but today I started planning an imaginary date with an avocado at like 2....I told myself I could eat it around 5. I made it to 4 and downed that avy like it was my job. It was SO good.
Other than avocados, you can have basically any vegetable or fruit if you're feeling the need to eat. You can even have broth to warm up a bit, which I did today, as well. My house is freezing when I'm not cleansing--while I'm cleansing it feels like the Antarctic.
My energy is still up and I'm feeling positive...I even went to the gym today and tried a new class. It's crazy! I can't deny the difference I feel in my body after just 2 days of eliminating processed foods. This has been a game changer for me---I told the whole group via text that I feel like a missionary for the church of Suja, and its true! I feel the need to let everyone know how good you can feel again!
But! For tomorrows post I am going to answer questions readers have asked me about Suja Juice and cleansing in general. Ive gotten so many good emails and have had great conversations about the juice and no one else gets to see because I must have a warning label on my blog that says DO NOT COMMENT. C'mon guys......you can do it! Comment away! ...I don't bite.
Well, I might-I'm kind of hungry.

I remember you doing a cleanse in high school and we were at Ashley's house and you'd bite the pizza and spit it out! I'm afraid if I do a cleanse I won't stop biting the pizza ;) your and inspiration to me! Love and miss your face!
ReplyDeletehahahah I rememeber that, too! And this time around on day 1 I would forget I started the cleanse and take a bit of whatever I was feeding the girls and have to spit it back out....some things never change...love you lou! ps...youre preggies!!!!! mom of the year! congrats!
DeleteI finished a few days ago bc I had my juices delievered early..but i have to admit I don't like the Almond/Vanilla "dessert" juice it had chunks of nutmeg in it that really turned me off. HOWEVER every other juice was da bomb!! I did ask Katie (the Suja) rep to replace it and she did for me. (she too is da bomb). I have done a 7 day juice before and didn't cut out my one coffee bc i had a baby to get up with, but this time I did and it was so easy to let it go. Thanks for the challenge and the pre cleanse advice...
ReplyDeleteohhh man....vanilla cloud is my absolute favorite! I count the hours until I get it! And the coffee thing surprisingly hasnt been hard on me either....normally I would be going nuts for a cup- but it hasnt been an issue. Thanks for writing in! I love hearing about other people experiences!
DeleteI definitely wanna give this cleanse a go! However, I live in florida and I am a tad confused about the shipping process! any deets would be fab!
ReplyDeleteI agree!!! I totally would have done this with you all, but there is no Suja in Utah. I am really hoping the Whole Foods here gets it soon, because I REALLY wanna try this!!! I didn't have enough time or energy to do the DIY one. I am in a busy season.
DeleteYeah I noticed the shipping (I'm also in Florida) is a bit cray-cray. If I understand correctly you have to order at least a 3 day cleanse and the shipping is an insane $63.
DeleteHi guys! I know.....I wish Suja was everywhere already, too! I know they carry it at the Whole Foods in Salt Lake City now, as well as all Whole foods and Jimbos in CA--and they're in the process of expanding so we all just have to be patient. It will happen, though!
DeleteWeslie! I looked at the Suja website initally and it said they didn't have it in SLC (but maybe I just overlooked it), but I looked today and they have it!!!! So excited. I'll be doing the cleanse in a few weeks!!! Tried the Purify today and it's yummy!
DeleteI actually started the juice cleanse with you guys because I follow The Skinny Confidential regularly! I am doing the "do it yourself" version because I live in Miami (No SUJA yet). Its great to follow along on your blog and feel like I am not alone! On to day 3!
ReplyDeleteyay for day 3!!!!! Having a group makes it 10000x easier. Thanks for joining in!
DeleteI am with J Lynn, I started the juice cleanse with everyone on Tuesday but I am doing the "do it yourself" version from TSC since I'm in Baltimore and we don't have Suja. Day 1 was tough for me but Day 2 I felt incredible. I had so much energy it was unreal. When it came time for my protein and veggie dinner I didn't even want it! I forced down a couple bites and that was that. Day 3 and I am still feeling amazing ... energy still through the roof! I will be making changes in my eating habits from here on out, the proof is in the pudding. Also, I've done yoga every day on the cleanse with no issues. Thank you ladies for the inspiration!!!
ReplyDeletewow!!! im sooo impressed with the do it yourselfers! I know its not easy prepping and cleaning all the veggies while being hungry/detoxing, so my hat is off you to you, my dear! And the energy is incredible...People dont believe me when I say I have more energy cleansing than I do normally-but its true.
